Renowned permaculture designer Pandora Thomas welcomes us to Earthseed Farm - an afro-indigenous land stewardship project and productive fruit farm in Sonoma County, to tour and meet the land.
EarthSEED is a 14-acre solar-powered organic permaculture farm and orchard growing an assortment of fruit and berries including asian pears, persimmons, apples, blackberries and raspberries, and supporting a community living together on the land collectively.
The ancestral agricultural practices and technological advancements of AfroIndigenous Wisdom traditions are practiced here while acknowledging a complex history of land and body displacement.
We will explore the questions of how we reconnect to land, community, and place while embracing historical and social realities of all people.
