Join Regen Network’s Austin Wade Smith, Sarah Baxendell of AE Design, and Will Gardiner of Our Sci for this discussion on Designing Ecological Communities and Institutions. Hosted by David Casey of Funding the Commons and Ryan Rising of Permaculture Action Network, we will provide a case study for using technical tools to design one of the largest urban farms in the United States, and introduce a practical framework for using of blockchain, DMRV (Digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification), autonomous actors, and other tech to empower ecosystems and non-human organisms politically and economically.

Ecological institutions are a tangible means through which non-human organisms and ecosystems may not only have intrinsic rights , but further, the capacity to own their own currency, possess their own land titles and contracts, license their own data, compensate their guardians, safeguard their biodiversity, and pressure their political delegates, etc.
