The Enneagram is one of the most precise frameworks we have for seeing unconscious patterns, yet its power far exceeds our understanding of why it works.
Josh has been studying the Enneagram for 11 years, and in this talk, he’ll explore both what remains mysterious and what has been freshly illuminated about the Enneagram as a map of human experience.
Rather than presenting it as a fixed typology, Josh will invite participants into a living inquiry: What are we actually describing when we talk about “type”? What gives a personality framework its explanatory power? And what does the Enneagram reveal about how we construct meaning and selfhood in the first place?
Drawing from philosophy, phenomenology, and years of Enneagram study, Josh will share his emerging theory of the Enneagram, which situates personality type not as merely behavior or motivational structure, but as a way of inhabiting reality. The aim is not to convince, but to wonder together about how frameworks like this take shape, what they open up, and what they conceal.
