The Roots of Progress track is centered around collaborative thinking on the high-leverage, high-agency ideas shaping the future. Rather than speculative forecasting, the emphasis will be on identifying the problems worth solving and the futures we want to realize over the coming decades. Each day will be lightly themed (e.g., AI, health, energy, materials), with time carved out for both structured discussion and independent writing.

Ease into each day of Roots of Progress with a relaxed morning gathering over coffee in the Loft. This short but intentional time provides space for quiet reflection and writing. Participants are invited to bring their notebooks or laptops and begin capturing early thoughts related to the day’s theme, whether that’s AI, energy, health, or beyond.

Each daily session will build off the last, but you are always welcome to join or drop in on whichever sessions you can make.
