Through interactive activities like deep noticing of phenomena and workshopping ideas around real-world examples of mathematics, participants will have the opportunity to directly engage with how mathematical concepts emerge from our observations of nature. We'll consider how this way of learning and doing math - grounded in real-world exploration and driven by curiosity - could transform the way we approach mathematics education.

This workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in nurturing a deep appreciation for the natural world in young people and cultivating an understanding of mathematics as a living, breathing tool for making sense of our experiences.
