We’re creating a pop-up solarpunk village in the forest of Shelterwood: Solar-powered A-frame cabins + 3D-printed bathrooms + tours + tech demos + dinner parties - all as a way of experiencing the wonderful ways that modern tech lets humans to stay in, interact with, and protect nature.
We have 3 cabins available for Edge Esmeralda guests and families to stay in during the event. Each cabin will have two queen beds with room to spare for an additional child or two if necessary. Shelterwood is 400 acres of forest & mountain overlooking Healdsburg from the west, 15 minutes outside of town. Before it was entirely burned in the 2020 wildfires, it was a thriving campground, and the owners - Fred and David - have been meticulously replanting and restoring the forest since, in anticipation of a re-launch in several years.
We’ll also be running several larger events and dinners at this property during the two weeks - those will have their own calendar entries as we finalize the schedule.
