This is our second trip to the English evening school in Fuoni, Mambosasa, named Straight Training Centre. It was founded 12 years ago by a Zanzibarian named Modest, who started to teach kids in his street English for free and it's vastly grown over the 12 years so now he has more than 200 students and about 12 teachers and all of them were former students. We will visit the school. They have kids and teens aged 5-18. It is a particularly impressive project because it is entirely volunteer-run and super effective.

We will meet at 6:30 at the parking area. At 7:00 we will be at the school and first visit the building with the teenagers. Then we will also see the building with the kids later on. At 9:00 we will return back to Fumba. Probably at 9:30 we will be back.

Currently we are raising funds for them to construct their own building because rent payments were always a crucial point of failure.

So in case you want to support us afterwards by sharing the fundraiser or help us to contribute to building a website or generating more video content, pictures, and materials, that is greatly appreciated. Also currently they need a new whiteboard.

Please reserve for the event. We will organize taxis or cars according to the number of people who sign up. The price for the taxi for going there and coming back is 10,000 Tanzanian shillings. Please bring it with you and please also bring it to us if you cancel later than five hours before the event.

Please also dress accordingly to Zanzibarian culture, which means modestly dressed such that shoulders and knees are covered and the belly is covered as well.
